Saturday Hangout Proposition

So I have an author, Morgan Kelley, who is doing an interview for the Saturday Hangout on The Cavanaugh Connection in May. Her fans asked me about if they could submit questions for me to give her.

Absolutely! As writers, we want to know what our readers want to know!! It got me thinking about maybe trying something new for the Saturday Hangout.

I'm sure some authors would be for it, although I'm sure some would rather just the traditional way, but I think it would be a good way to really touch fans if the interviews were done live! If there was a way to log into a chat room where the author and I would be discussing whatever it is that we have on the table, and then opened it up to audience questions.

Then, I could copy and paste the transcript into a post for the blog so anyone who missed it could still read what went on.

Authors... thoughts?

Readers... thoughts?

  1. The only thing that might keep me from being available is the time constraint.

    Know what I mean?

I'm dying to know everything about you.

  2. I like the question aspect. That way it doesn't feel like you're ambushing an author. I wouldn't want to be hit with questions rapid fire and not have time to think, I can't imagine a writer would either.

    Maybe that's just me, though.

  3. I prefer questions too! SO I can prep before. I don't want to choke and miss a question!
