MIA, New Book, Giveaways, New Projects, New Blog!

Hey all!

Sorry I've been gone. Real life kinda got in the way. But in the few moments I got to myself during all my RL crises, I was able to finish Eternal Beginnings!

The Eternals are moving in! Meet the characters in a short prequel, Eternal Beginnings! You'll get to meet Tobias and Sebastian Helms, and those of you who read my debut novel, The Devil Knows, you'll get re-introduced to Maya Helms! :)

I realized this morning that I have 37 more stories floating around in my head! :o Six of them are things you've already been teased about - The Eternals trilogy (formerly my Eternal trilogy) and my End of Days trilogy!

For fans of The Devil Knows, there is going to be a spin off with a three or four book series about Olivia. It's about witches. Plus Anya will get a short story, which is sort of a continuation of TDK.

Some other projects are merely a thought or a few ideas scribbled down (if that), while others have chapters or whole outlines! It's all very exciting, and daunting! LOL.

For my two current releases, there is a giveaway going on!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

And yes, I have a new blog. It's called Book Bytes and is on Wordpress. It's for reviews and cover reveals. I am however, thinking of moving permanently there for everything.

Through Eternal Connections, my book services project, I have had the pleasure of redesigning Morgan Kelley's book covers for her FBI Thriller series! It's been very exciting.

I am hoping for Eternal Wickedness, the first of The Eternals, to be released by the end of September.

Sweet Oblivion & Sweet Escape ~ Double Cover Reveal by Bailey Ardisone

-About the Author-

Bailey Ardisone is a collaboration between two sisters who were born and

raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. They combined their creative forces to write the

first book in their series, called Sweet Oblivion. Though the name Bailey Ardisone

applies to both of them, for the sake of answering questions they will each take on

one of the names to make things easier.

The

older sister of the two in Bailey Ardisone, has always loved getting lost in books,

movies, music, and art. Fantasy is her favorite genre. She gets her love of words

from their grandmother who together used to write poems, short stories and even

greeting cards. Her biggest goal would be to travel and explore the world. She loves

going to the beach, enjoys football sundays, and spending time with friends and

family.

The

younger sister of the two in Bailey Ardisone, has always held a strong love for

anything art related. Whether it be drawing, music, or constantly day-dreaming,

her mind never stops imagining wonderful stories and possibilities. She finally got

to put some of those ideas to use with her new found love of writing novels. Some

other things she is forever obsessed with are Japanese Anime and Manga, animals,

traveling, her home city of Chicago and anything in miniature form. One thing she

can never get enough of is sleeping/taking naps and sour skittles.

-About Sweet

Oblivion
-

Sweet

Oblivion received a MAKEOVER! We truly hope you enjoy the new cover art!

When two worlds collide, nightmares become reality. And

some secrets...are best kept in Oblivion.

...Until there is hope.

Have you ever wanted to forget? Nariella Woodlinn

has. Many times. Especially when her already frustrating life gets turned upside

down by a mysterious boy who randomly shows up in her small town. And she can’t

seem to understand anything about him, despite how much she tries.

Nari hates everything about her life, except for her

best friend Rydan, but now that they’ve been separated during their senior year

of high school, she has to learn to make new friends without him. When strange,

unexplainable phenomena start becoming an every day part of her life, Nari

struggles to come to grips with reality. And with love.

~

Naminé has responsibilities. Duties. It is her obligation

to fulfill all that is asked of her by their King. But when a glimmer of hope is

introduced to her by a prisoner she tends to, it means life or death for her and her

people. She does all that she can to turn that hope into reality, and finally end the

vicious war that has been ensuing since she was born. Even if that means keeping it

secret from her King. Even if it means carrying out the biggest betrayal against the

King ever seen during her time.

She has hope. She will fulfill her duty. She will not let

her people down.

-Excerpt-

~Nari~

I suddenly

felt anxious, excited even, at the prospect of

laying eyes on Mycah again. On being enveloped in his woodsy scent. The way my

soul felt complete and whole again only his presence alone could accomplish.

...Were we really just friends?

And then

there he was.

As I took the

last stair, his eyes found mine from the

"Greeting Room" he quietly sat in, drinking from an antique teacup.

He watched

me carefully as he slowly put the cup to his

alluring lips and took a sip. My heart danced wildly in my chest with every

step I took, drawing closer and closer.

I waved at

him, not able to speak just yet.

“Morning,

beautiful,” he whispered. His English accent made

the words sound musical. Or maybe it was his silky voice that did it. Or it

could have been the combination of the two, I really didn’t know. Either way,

my stomach did a flip.

And then I

thought, it must have been the way he was looking

at me, not even trying to hide the desire that flooded his aqua eyes as soon as

they locked onto mine.

The sun

played with his eyes, bringing out the unique colors

and making them more vivid. Even though he was lit up by the streaming sun that

shone brightly through the large bay window, he never looked more

dangerous.

And he never

looked more sexy.

Well, that

could be debatable.

I mean, if you

wanted to count the time he was dripping wet

and practically naked, well then, one really couldn’t say.

But this

moment was definitely a top contender for first

place.

He stood up,

keeping perfect posture and foreign demeanor

exquisitely intact, and came over to me.

“You alright?”

he asked, lips pulling up in a side smile. I

nodded, half hating the spell he always put me under, half totally loving it.

He reached

out and slowly slid his hand into mine,

intertwining our fingers together and pulling me toward the front door. He

chuckled and slightly shook his head at the ground.

And

now....for the second book in the Sweet Series, we present: Sweet Escape!

-About Sweet Escape-

Life will never be the same for Nariella Woodlinn.

Just when she thought she had it all figured out, her world comes crumbling down

around her - yet again. She has no idea who she is. She has no idea where she came

from.

She once thought her biggest problems were ones

brought on by the mysterious man she had refused to fall in love with...Mycah. But

she quickly discovers none of that compares to what she is about to encounter

next.

This time, it isn't because of who Mycah is.

This

time
, it's because of who she is.

~

Naminé

risked everything to save her people. Her goal was to bring their only hope back to

their Kingdom. As the war rages on, Naminé gets thrown right into the lion's den -

the false King's chambers. Forced to do his bidding, can she prevent the downfall of

the only hope she worked so hard to bring home?

...Can any of

them Escape?

-Excerpt-

~Nari~

I laid mesmerized from the position on my back, staring up at the

cloudless sky. It was as blue as a Robin’s egg. If not more blue. The sun shown

extremely bright, but the rays did not scorch my skin. The air was comfortable. Very

comfortable. It was the perfect temperature. Warm, without being too warm, and no

humidity.

I did not move.

I was afraid to move in case this was all just a dream and any slight stir

would make it vanish, throwing me back into tormented reality. It must be a dream,

right? Clearly, I had busted my head against the tree trunk and knocked myself

out...And I was only imagining this while Zaylie, I was sure, was worried and trying

to wake me up.

Right?

I could feel the grass beneath me. Soft, lush, exquisite. As if I laid against

the perfect bed made just for me. I was Goldilocks and it was just right.

A colorful bird soared above me. But as it descended closer, obscuring

my view of the sky, I realized it was not actually a bird at all. It was the strangest

butterfly I had ever seen. Its wings were a rainbow of colors - and it was huge. Birdlike huge.

But I didn’t feel frightened or grossed out like I usually did by insects. This

was different. It felt different here. The butterfly flapped its wings so gently and

effortlessly. I numbly reached up while it landed weightlessly on my fingers.

The moment it touched me and started cleaning its antennae, even though

I could barely feel it on me, I got the striking feeling that this was real. Very real. I

quickly sat up, causing the vivid butterfly to take flight again and gazed around the

beauteous expanse encircling me.

Eternal ~ Contest

Okay.

I need a little help with my Eternal series.

Comment on what you think Sebastian should be the god of. I will choose which one I like best, as well as which will fit the books and short stories the best. The winner will receive a FREE ebook of Eternal Beginnings when it's done (only three chapters left to write and some editing)!

Background on Sebastian:

Sebastian is the son of Katricne, the goddess of time (who is responsible for time of death - she predetermines when someone is destined to die - but not how or why) and Tobias, the King of Vampires. He has a twin sister Maya, who is the goddess of the unholy.

He has high morals and has never killed an innocent in all his 2000+ years. Sebastian has the role of he enforcer on The Council, which is responsible for keeping demons in line so that they remain in the shadows to be nothing more than a myth to humanity.

Sebastian is the focus of the third book, Eternal Chance, so I've provided the cover so you can have a visual!

"The Devil Knows" Officially Available on Amazon!

As some of you may know, the fabulous Black Cauldron Publishing is the publisher behind my debut novel, The Devil Knows. I'm proud to say I've gotten some great reviews so far, and it is currently available in both paperback and for the Kindle!

I'm hard at work finishing up a short prequel, Eternal Beginnings, for my Eternal series, as well as the first book, Eternal Wickedness! YAYS! I'm finishing my pre-edit of the prequel before I dive in and make the additions which are necessary. Then it's off to be beta read and then re-edited!

But for now... I will leave you with the NEW cover for The Devil Knows and the purchase links! (The old publisher has yet to take down their version on the paperback from Amazon, despite my requests to them and CreateSpace - who indicate that they cannot take it down without the publisher's consent... - so please if you purchase the paperback, make sure it has the cover shown below!)

Synopsis:
The Devil Knows is a New Adult paranormal dramance!

College student, Megan, is devastated when she discovers that her best friend, Anya, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Stricken with grief, and unable to find conventional answers on how to help her friend, Megan turns to something so out there it couldn't possibly work or could it?

Despite knowing the risks, Megan knows that she may be the only one that stands between Anya living and meeting her maker. That alone gives her the courage to gamble it all against the odds.

In comes the devil, and an unlikely alliance forged in something so dangerous it may cost her the ultimate price.

Her soul.

Penelope Bartatto ~ The Woman Behind the Curtain

Once upon a time there was a little girl who discovered the love of reading. Having to fend for myself for almost everything, I learned to read by the age of three, and I haven't stopped yet.

I spent my schooling years being a conundrum to teachers who had no clue what to do with me. When they decided in 2nd grade that a tutor was what I needed, I learned I was reading at a college level and my life became interesting, to say the least. Thankfully by middle school we had moved from small town Wisconsin to slightly bigger town and I was entered into CAP classes that kept me intrigued. I entered college with great hopes to become... a lawyer. Imagine that, me a lawyer. I did have a back-up plan though, I was going to double major in Literature as well. I took more classes in  writing and literature than I did in pre-law before I ran out of funds and left the university life. I dreamed of returning, but life had other plans in store for me.

Fast forward almost ten years, I was the mother of three children under the age of 5. One thing I did to keep my sanity was visit the library regularly and read books. We got our computer in 1996, I remember nursing my youngest as I explored chat rooms on America Online. I soon found myself volunteering on a site within AOL called Moms Online and discussed books. Come 1999 I opened the very first edition of my Book Review Blog The Library at the END of the Universe (http://www.libraryattheendofuniverse.com/) and there I simply started to share my reviews of any book I read. Within a year I had developed a huge following and started connecting with publishers, authors, and public relations agents and found I could review books per request. Warning it is very easy to allow yourself to get overwhelmed with the temptation of a free book. This was before the eBook revolution.

I took a short break and reopened my blog, thankfully under the same name, and then another break in 2010 due to health reasons. In 2011 I returned to the scene and was surprised to see how things had changed.

Book tours had suddenly exploded across the scene, I had done a few in the old days, but thought I could join in. I joined crew after crew, and soon found myself overwhelmed and quickly buried under books. Some good, some bad. In January 2013 I opened my own tour company though Around the Universe Tours (http://aroundtheuniversetours.blogspot.com/). I thought I could offer a different twist on the typical tours that were producing what became boring cookie cutter posts. So far we've had a fair amount of success with the tours, and I enjoy meeting new authors from all genre of literature. This company also opened the door for me to become a Public Relations Agent for a few authors, which is a rewarding job.

Thus it is clear I love to read, but I also love to write. I spent a number of years working as a freelance writer, which is rewarding but also limits your creativity. I started doing NaNoWriMo in 2006 (National Novel Writing Month) and found I enjoyed being creative and writing something fun and fictional. From there, I have joined the ranks of published authors via anthology, and am aiming to release my first full length novel in 2014. You can find me writing at Spoilers, Sweetie (http://spoilerssweetie.blogspot.com/) My current novel is a YA Fantasy novel, and I am also working on a horror short story for another anthology.

Haedyn's Choice: Book One of the Haedyn Chronicles ~ Jennifer L. Oliver

There's always a choice.

The demon Azazel knows an opportunity when he sees one. That's why he took the Unnamed abomination, Haedyn, under his wing and honed her skills. Now she's a predator, like him, but far more dangerous because she holds the potential to wield great power. The kind that humans and supernatural creatures alike will bow down to worship. The kind that will let him create his army of evil-born souls without challenge. And when the full moon rises and a human's rare blood is spilled, Haedyn will be the key to unlocking hell on earth.

Former investigative reporter Lexington Carter saw his brother murdered by vampires, but no one would believe him. Now it's his mission to learn everything there is about monsters, how to kill them, and what happens to their victims. But when he's kidnapped by a super-human albino chick who claims she's protecting him, he realizes that not all supernatural creatures are monsters and there might be one that's worth saving.

Haedyn is the last Unnamed and Azazel's personal assassin - his most prized servant. It's not a title she wants, but it keeps her alive and that's all that matters. But when she is tricked into protecting Lex, the same human her master is hunting, she learns of Azazel's terrifying plan to create an army of evil souls - and that Lex isn't the only one slated for sacrifice.

Can Haedyn accept the truth of her past and face the demon who molded her in his image, or will she risk the losing the souls of those she loves?
